Chief Strategy Officer

John is Healthwords' Chief Strategy Officer. His focus includes the exploration of new business opportunities, strategic planning and overseeing product marketing strategy.

He is an experienced executive having spent more than 29 years with Reckitt Benckiser where he served as Senior Vice President until May 2007, and served for five years as the Global Category Officer: Household Cleaners and Disinfectants (covering key brands including Dettol, Lysol and Cillit Bang) a category with sales of approximately £1 billion.

He was a member of the Reckitt Benckiser leadership team that acquired Boots Healthcare International for £1.9billion and became responsible for Reckitt Benckiser’s Over-The-Counter Medicines range (covering key brands including Nurofen, Lemsip, Strepsils, and Gaviscon).

John brings a wealth of experience in the consumer healthcare industry, as well as senior leadership roles in marketing and general management. In addition, he is a Partner at the Meridian House Stud and serves as Executive Chairman of Ebiox Ltd, and as Non-Executive Director at Ely Capital and Healthcare Enterprise Group. John Honey is graduate in Geography from Jesus College, University of Oxford.
