Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) can feel like a constant battle, especially when it impacts daily life. Anhydrol Forte is a targeted solution designed to help manage this problem. It’s an aluminium chloride-based roll-on antiperspirant that works by blocking sweat glands, effectively reducing sweat production in areas like the underarms, hands, or feet.

Using it takes a bit of care. Apply it to dry skin before bed, giving it time to work overnight while sweat glands are less active. By morning, rinse off and go about your day with less worry about sweat. It’s not for use on broken or irritated skin, so timing and skin condition matter.

The results can make a huge difference. With regular use, many people find relief from the discomfort and inconvenience of excessive sweating.

How do I use Anhydrol Forte?

You should apply the medication at night before you go to bed and then wash it off in the morning. Do not reapply the medication during the day. It is recommended that you follow a two-nightly treatment cycle, whereby you apply the medication for two nights in a row and then have a break for two nights. However, you can adjust the frequency of application to suit your personal needs. You can apply the medication to your skin in the same way you would use a roll-on deodorant.

Affected areas must be dried thoroughly and carefully before applying the medication to prevent it from causing a burning sensation on the skin. You should also ensure you only apply the medicine to affected areas and do not use it on broken or irritated skin. Avoid shaving hair or using hair removal products on affected areas within 12 hours (before or after) of using the medication.

Let the medication dry before putting any clothes over the applied areas, as aluminium chloride hexahydrate can stain them. Contact with jewellery and metal surfaces should be avoided as it can also stain these. You can also use it with deodorant.

How does it work?

Aluminium chloride hexahydrate reduces sweating by blocking sweat ducts in the skin. It is also thought to kill bacteria on the skin that cause body odour. This happens when aluminium chloride hexahydrate reacts with water on the skin to produce hydrochloric acid.

Who should not use the medication?

Anhydrol Forte isn’t for everyone. If your skin is broken, irritated, or freshly shaved, it’s best to avoid using it until the area heals. Applying it on damaged skin can cause stinging or further irritation.

It’s also not suitable for individuals who are allergic to aluminium chloride or any of the other ingredients in the product. Those with severe eczema or other skin conditions in the area of application should consult a healthcare professional before use, as it could exacerbate sensitivity.

Pregnant or breastfeeding? It’s worth checking with a doctor or pharmacist to ensure it’s the right choice for you. Taking a cautious approach helps keep the treatment safe and effective.

Anhydrol Forte is unlikely to interact with other medicines.

Are there any side effects?

Like most treatments, Anhydrol Forte can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. The most common is skin irritation—things like redness, itching, or a mild burning sensation where it’s applied. This often happens if it’s used on damp or sensitive skin.

If irritation becomes severe or doesn’t settle after stopping the product, it’s time to speak to a doctor or pharmacist. Rarely, an allergic reaction can occur, so if you notice swelling, intense itching, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.

Used correctly, side effects are usually minimal, but keeping an eye on how your skin reacts is always a good idea.
