Product Summary

Used for the treatment of minor eye irritations and infections including conjunctivitis, sticky eye and blepharitis.

Golden Eye contains propamidine isetionate, the antiseptic active ingredient that kills the bacteria associated with eye and eyelid infections.

Directions

  • Wash your hands before and after using the drops.
  • Take off the bottle cap.
  • Tilt head gently backwards.
  • Without touching the eye with the bottle dropper, apply one or two drops to each affected eye.
  • Do this up to 4 times each day: about every 3 to 4 hours throughout the day.

If your condition does not improve within 2 days, stop using the drops and consult your pharmacist or doctor.

Ingredients

  • The active ingredient is propamidine isetionate 0.1% w/v.
  • The other ingredients are sodium chloride, benzalkonium chloride solution, purified water, sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid for pH adjustment.

Warnings or Restrictions

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  • If you become pregnant while using the drops, stop using them and see your doctor.
  • Golden Eye 0.1% w/v Eye Drops Solution contains benzalkonium chloride, which may cause eye irritation.
  • As Golden Eye 0.1% w/v Eye Drops Solution can sometimes cause blurred vision for a short while after administration, you must not drive or operate machinery until you can see clearly again.

Do not use when wearing hard or soft contact lenses.

Storage

  • Do not store above 25°C.
  • Discard within four weeks of first opening.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the bottle and carton after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
  • Always replace the top firmly on the bottle after using.
  • Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
  • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
