Dr Karen Martin
Dr. Karen Martin PharmD BCGP received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University in 2001 and her board certification in geriatric pharmacy in 2007. She has a wealth of experience in numerous practice sites, including managed care, retail, home infusion, nursing home consulting, and hospital. Her most recent position was Director of the Value Assessment Committee at a large managed healthcare plan, the committee making formulary decisions for coverage of drugs.
Dr. Martin is also a verified copywriter through the American Writers and Artist Institute (AWAI). This has allowed her to combine her love of pharmacy with that of writing. She has helped various healthcare clients with white papers, case studies, educational materials, market research, blogs, and informational pieces.
Making the complex world of healthcare simple is Dr. Martin’s passion. An informed healthcare consumer is in a better position to make decisions for their life. All parties should be actively engaged in the discussion. This includes our frail elderly and those most vulnerable in our society.
